Rylee was so excited for her birthday and had so much fun all day long!
Rylee with Mom and Dad on her birthday date.
We started off the day with cinnamon rolls that had blue frosting, because she wanted a Sonic the Hedgehog birthday (she loves Sonic X on Netflix).
After breakfast, we took Rylee on a date (Lindi watched Ashtyn and Parker) to the Pet Store. Rylee loved it! She was in heaven seeing the fish, tiny guinea pigs, cats, and birds. The fish were her favorites. After the pet store, we stopped at Smith's to get her a little treat. She chose princess fruit snacks, since fruit snacks are her favorite treat right now.
For dinner, I made her a frozen cheese pizza, because that's her favorite food. Then we had family come over for a little party. I made chocolate Oreos with blue frosting and some chocolate chocolate chip cookies with vanilla and chocolate ice cream. We also got out blue sprinkles for the ice cream.
Parker helped herself to more ice cream with a LOT of sprinkles 😂
We always get the girls a book for their birthday (with their date as their "bigger present"). I was actually really excited for Rylee to open hers this year, because I knew she'd be so excited for them. One of the books we got was Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere, a book she got from the library last month and loved. The other one is one we watch someone read aloud on YouTube, How I Met My Monster. It's her favorite book and I've probably read it a hundred times since she got it.
Rylee snuggling a blanket my mom made her for her birthday.
Ashtyn and Parker "wrapped" a "present" in a blanket for Rylee to open.
Rylee with another book in the same series, from her Aunt Melissa.
Rylee was cute with the cards from grandparents too. Parker and Ashtyn always get really excited for the money they get from grandparents, but each card Rylee got, she threw the money to the side and was so excited to just have the card.
Ashtyn found a birthday song in one of her piano books, but didn't feel like she had enough time to practice it, so she had Caleb play it for Rylee while she sang.
I love the birthday traditions we have and that Rylee had so much fun! She felt special and loved!
