I am way late in getting this up (hello August!), but I didn't want to miss documenting our June. It was a fun month of summer and water and family fun!
Early in the month, we got to go to Across the Spiderverse in theaters. Our real estate agent's company rented the theater and gave everyone free popcorn and a drink. The girls loved getting soda (something I never pay for when we go to the theater) and Oliver loved having his own straw (he got water, but you would've thought it was soda from the way he kept drinking it haha). We loved the movie and Oliver did really well, especially for how long the movie was.
Near the beginning of the month, Rylee also taught herself to ride a pedal bike. She's been doing a balance bike and could get cruising on it, so I knew she was ready, but she was feeling too nervous to have Ben teach her. Then one morning, she told me she was ready and was going to teach herself. She got on her bike and just started going.
We also did some rock painting with Grandma Leah. She loves crafts and the kids had a ton of fun. The last two rocks were ones that Ben painted.
Ben also found a frog while mowing the back. The kids were ecstatic!
And then the girls made a bunch of videos with the frog before we let it go at the creek.
They were cracking me up so much.
Four wheeler rides are getting a little tricky with how many kids there are getting to be! Grandpa Danny got out the trailer and Ben and Dalin went with to let the frog go.
We also did some creek days! The creek at Ben's parents' house is really fun to play in for a couple weeks of the year--after the water goes down enough to play safely and before the creek stops running and gets gross. We love going out and playing in the water!
They had to snuggle up and get warm after the creek!
Rylee learned to swing herself and she loves it!
June also had some park-perfect weather and we loved playing at the park!
In the summer, we like having a few little kiddie pools for the kids to play in. They are also finally learning to like running through the sprinklers.
Hot dogs and marshmallows with Grandpa Danny and Grandma Lindi!
I think this was the day that Ben and I went on a date while his parents babysat and then we hung out there while Ben did some work at the family history center.
Oliver loves to push cars and trucks around.
His favorite thing to do is to put his food in the truck while he pushes it around and take a bite whenever he feels like it.
Oliver found an airplane!
He loves seeing airplanes in the sky now.
Oliver wanted to take his car for a walk!
Grandpa Danny and Grandma Lindi went on a trip to Oregon and Grandpa Danny brought back snail shells and Mormon crickets for the kids.
Ashtyn finds bugs everywhere we go.
We also had Grandma Dee come visit us in June! It was a fun visit. She brought a book with different birds in it and the girls loved it. She also brought these glasses, that you can build Legos onto. We'd been reading the Alcatraz and the Evil Librarian series together, so the girls kept making different "lenses".
While Grandma Dee was visiting, poor Oliver got sick 💗
It was sad that he was sick during her whole visit, but it was nice having her here to help with food and entertaining the girls.
When he started feeling a little better, he got to watch Barney with Mom while eating a grilled cheese sandwich Grandma Dee made him 💗
I also got this video of him playing, another sign he was feeling better.
Ben took the girls to Grandma Leah's 80th birthday party while I stayed home with Oliver. The girls weren't acting sick at all, but then Ashtyn threw up on the way home. It may have been a combination of drinking way too much lemonade and getting car sick. This is my "I hate cleaning throw up out of the car" face.
Library activity with Grandma Dee!
That afternoon, Rylee fell asleep and that night, she threw up and had a fever :(
After we got the kids down, Ben and I went for a walk and found a snake on the road.
We had to take a picture of it for the kids, then we helped it back into the dirt.
Rylee is cute, even when sick.
After Grandma Dee went home, the other girls got sick too.
I think it was a stomach bug, it seemed to last less than 48 hours.
When everyone was better, we did a science experiment that we've been wanting to do for a long time. We put baking soda in the balloon and vinegar in the water bottle, then let it blow up the balloon. It was actually really cool!
The girls all did a summer tumbling class. Ashtyn and Parker were in the same class. Ashtyn loved it, but Parker had a harder time with it because we changed studios from the one she was at before. She has adjusted now, but still wants to go back to the previous one (she misses her teacher). Rylee has just had a blast, and got to be in a class with Navy.
The girls dressed Oliver up for tumbling too.
I don't know how Rylee gets like this sometimes 😂
"Irish" dancing 😍
We finished reading Charlotte's Web, so we watched the movie for movie night.
Oliver kept calling the pig a dog at first, he wouldn't be convinced otherwise.
Oliver loves to be included with his sisters 💗
Ben has been working on a video game. This is Parker playing one of the earlier prototypes.
Me, trying to work on my blog, but Oliver needed Mom snuggles.
Of course, as soon as you pull out your phone
to catch them doing something cute, they stop doing it.
I told Oliver once that Grandma Lindi made his blanky and for weeks afterward, he would tell me that she made the blanket every time I put him to bed 💗
I read a book about ghosts and then told the kids about it, but that they couldn't read it until they were older. Parker proceeded to grab it and try to read it 😂
He has three little "moms" 💗
Oliver started calling cucumbers "bumbis" and I love it.
Ashtyn loves the game Cassette Beasts (a Pokemon-like game) and always wants me to take pictures of the monsters she creates.

Ben got this video and I love the way he says Grandpa Luke: "Grandpa Oo Oo"
Jessica and Donovan also moved back to Utah in June and we've loved having them back! This was our attempt to babysit Kolson.
He saw Ben go into his office. We think maybe he thought Ben was Donovan.
While his parents were gone, he would let me hold him, but he would accept Ben, his "not Dad but close enough".
We also decided to make a little Bingo for summer. It's been to work our way through the different activities and we're looking forward to the rest of summer!
