Our Family Memories in MAY!

We had a busy and wonderful month of May--it went by so fast! We love the warm weather and all the chances to get outside!

A park day with friends!

Cousins hanging out with their tractors 💗

Loves for Great Grandma!

We couldn't be more smitten by these twin girls!

And the boys all love Grandpa driving the four wheeler around. Oliver loves to get on the "baby four wheeler" while Grandpa rides the big one.

We love summer days at Grandma and Grandpa's!

Creek day! The kids found minnows, crawdads, and tadpoles, and loved playing in the sand and water!

We ended up keeping 4 of the tadpoles.
We might not have if we had realized how long it would take for them to mature--it can take up to 12-16 weeks XD

The kids love finding bones out in the trees with Grandpa.

More of the twins 💗

Disney keeps surprising us with new Bluey episodes and we are not complaining!
My favorite thing about watching them is seeing how much the kids laugh!

Summer nights with cousins are the best!

Oliver loves the library and he loves doing everything himself--even carrying his own book bag with his books in it.

We love the library! The library in Vernal is one of the best I've ever seen.

Earlier in May was also Truffle Day, so I made lemon, strawberry, chocolate, and Oreo! They turned out super yummy. I was especially proud of the strawberry and lemon because I had tried them previous years with a recipe I found online and didn't like them, so this year, I messed with the recipes and made them my own, and they turned out delicious (the lemon are my new favorite flavor!).

Ben's favorite meal--steak, beans and rice, and veggies!

A temple date, one of my favorites!

Ben and I also entered a pickleball tournament together and got 3rd place in the 3.5 division!
We had a lot of fun playing together!

Cinnamon rolls 🤤

Ashtyn and Parker had their spring recitals. They played the same songs they played for Federation (in which they got the highest scores possible) and did very well. I love seeing them put in such hard work and I love seeing them play.

We also went on a hike to see some local hieroglyphs and it was really fun!

We went with Chris and Ashley and had a blast!

Parker was super excited they all matched, so she wanted a picture 💗

Ashtyn found a four leaf clover!

And Parker found a cool shell fossil!

Ashtyn has recently been very into 3D origami and has made some really cool stuff with it.

While learning about constellations and navigation, we had to get out mini marshmallows to make our own constellations.

We also made pirate maps (as part of a pirate unit study we did) and the kids had so much fun with it. Ashtyn made a map of Lindi's yard and house and we burned the edges of each map.

Rylee lost her two top front teeth!

Then we got sick.

It hit Rylee and Oliver the hardest.
I ended up staying home on Mother's Day with them since they were still coughing.

Oliver playing piano!

Oliver singing Old McDonald 💗

I love the ending of this one 😍
Ben was teaching Oliver to say the "r" in "read" and then Oliver discovered he had blond hair haha

Oliver was crying after his nap, which isn't usual for him.
When I went up, he was like this 😂
He had taken his shirt off and then tried to put it back on upside and and backward.

I was going to do an interview with all the kids on Facebook, but accidentally only got to Oliver haha his answers were cute enough to share here.

Oliver loves spicy food.
He was eating Takis like it was nothing XD
He does not get that from me, that's for sure.

One night when Ben was gone, we watched Air Bud for movie night. Oliver loved it! He loved that the dog played with a ball and was very worried when the boy was sad.

Oliver loves Wheels on the Bus!

We had some wild cats and her two kittens living under our porch and didn't really want them there. They were there for few weeks before we finally managed to catch both kittens. Ben put them in the field and we chased their mom after them, then blocked off the porch. They've been back a few times to catch mice, but must have found a new place to live.

Of course, the kids were ecstatic when they found out there were kittens XD

May was such a wonderful month full of wonderful memories!
