The Girls' Tavaci Concert!

All three girls took a theater class through Tavaci this year and had a lot of fun with it! They had a concert at the end of April that they've worked hard to prepare for the last few months. It was so fun to watch them perform their songs, I could see how much fun they were having and knew how much work they'd put into practicing.

Rylee is in the class with red dresses and Ashtyn and Parker are in gold dresses.

Ashtyn and Parker both had speaking parts this time and had a lot of fun with it.
I didn't quite get the beginning of Ashtyn's because Leah had started waking up (she slept so well during most of it, just woke up for the last number) and I didn't realize it was her turn, but I got most of what Ashtyn said.

Their opening number.

They said that they choreographed this one themselves and it was super fun to watch, especially how into it Parker got 😂

Rylee was really excited for this one.

I did two videos of this one, so I could get one farther back for the girls at the end.

Rylee had told me beforehand that she was really embarrassed to say she was an "American boy" during this song. Her face when she sang it was priceless 😂

Ashtyn and Parker were most excited for this number (and are very into Imagine Dragons now), except for how embarrassing it was to "fangirl" the boys. 😂

Their closing number 🩷

My brother and his wife drove out from the city to see the concert and I know the girls love that they do it. I am so grateful for the effort they put into having a relationship with my kids 🩷 Melissa and her kids also came and brought them roses. It was so sweet of them, I know it isn't easy to do stuff like that with young kids, but my girls were so excited they were there!

I love that Vernal has opportunities like this for my kids, the people who run Tavaci put so much work into it and my girls have loved it. I love watching them on stage and seeing the community they have been able to be a part of with it.

Easter 2025!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Easter this year, with family and our little newborn 🩷 I found myself cutting back on what I normally do (Leah is doing a little better at night, but still wants to be held for most naps, so I don't have a lot of time) while also focusing on some of my kids' favorite traditions. Leading up to Easter, we managed to color boiled eggs, do a Christ-focused Easter countdown from Latter Day Baby, and make deviled eggs, potato salad, and sugar cookies.

Easter weekend started off up at Ben's grandma's cabin with his extended family. It was extra special as we recently found out his grandma has cancer and we're not sure how much longer she'll be with us. The kids had a blast, catching lizards and scorpions between roasting hot dogs.

Then we drove back for our Easter egg hunt.
Oliver and Leah both fell asleep 🩷

Easter egg hunt with cousins!

Thomas and Parker were quite the team, finding most of the "trickier" eggs that Ben and I hid.

The twins got really into it!

And the little boys did too! It was so fun to watch all the 3 year olds "finding" eggs.

Augustine's first egg hunt!

I couldn't quite get Kolson to stand still long enough to get a picture 😅

We had a blast at the hunt!
We did some organic candy but tried not to do too much, so we also supplemented with coins and some cool stickers that Melissa had.

Then Koy went and got pizza and the kids got to play outside until it was time to go home for bed.

For the girls this year, we did candy, a DVD (Ashtyn got Wicked, Rylee got Moana 2, and Parker got Honey I Shrunk the Kids), ballet slippers, a ballet leotard, and a heart locket. Oliver got his candy, Winnie the Pooh DVDs, some stacking cups, and a "tiger boy" costume. Tiger Boy is a made up super hero that he and Ben made up together. We got him tiger pajamas and Melissa made him a black cape for the costume. He was so excited when he saw it.

We did a combined gift for them this year as well--more magnet blocks because the ones we have are starting to break and are also a hot commodity. We also gave them a couple packages of peeps to share.

Easter morning 🩷

Easter Sunday was also Ben and my 12 year anniversary 🩷
(we celebrated by doing our first date since Leah the next day)
Ben took the girls to church. I had thought about going for Easter, but ultimately decided I wasn't ready to take Leah yet. Oliver and I stayed home with her and watched his new Winnie the Pooh movies.

Leah's Easter dress 💕

We finished off the weekend by going to Lindi's house for an Easter program and sugar cookies with cousins!

It was a great weekend full of family and remembering Christ!
