Oliver's Third Birthday!

 Oliver turned 3 in September! I can't believe how grown up he is getting. 

As part of his 12 days, I gave him cake mix. He couldn't do it all by himself like his sisters, but he did help a lot and loved it. He thought it was the greatest thing!

I thought I'd be more excited for this present than he was, but I sorely underestimated how excited he would be for a shirt that not only had a tractor on it, but his name as well. I love how much he loved it!

He got lots of tractors and candy and was in heaven!

Decorating for his birthday so he woke up to it!

I normally make cake donuts for the kids' birthdays, but between feeling exhausted and still somewhat sick from pregnancy and all the family reunion stuff we did over the weekend, I just didn't have it in me. I asked Oliver about buying donuts and he said no, he wanted me to make some. I compromised and made cake donuts (waaaaay easier) and he loved them. 

We spent the afternoon playing in water at cousin's house as part of the reunion and Oliver loved it!

Oliver is all things tractors right now, so deciding his birthday theme was very easy.

He wanted angel food cake for his dessert, so that's what I made for him.

I struggled quite a bit with preparing this birthday. I felt like I had no energy left and didn't feel great. Ben watched the kids at his parents during the water party while I finished setting up and cleaning the house and I was happy with how it turned out. Oliver loved it and that's what matters.

He had a great time celebrating with family!

Later in the month, we did his birthday date. We had some different ideas for him, but we ended up going simple and taking him on a four wheeler ride and buying him a candy of his choice. He loved it, simplicity and all!

We love having Oliver in our family!

Jon and Amanda's Wedding!

 My baby brother got married! We are so happy for him and love his new wife, Amanda. We loved having the chance to drive out for their wedding and celebrate with them. 

Oliver needed a haircut for the wedding! 

And he managed to take a nap as we drove out. We drove out the day before to make it there for the family dinner they held the night before. It was yummy food and great to see some family.

The next morning, I went to a dance class I had signed up for and then Ben and I went to help set up at the wedding venue. Afterwards, I realized that everyone in our family was going to be in wedding colors except for me, so Ben and I got some food (I really needed it after that morning; I was going quite a bit better, but traveling was hard as I was still on the tail end of morning sickness). After lunch, we stopped at DI and found an outfit that would work for the wedding.

Then we hurried back to my mom's and got everyone ready for the wedding. Oliver loved his suit (Amanda found is hand-me down for him, which we were so grateful for!). I think he loved that he matched Dad. 

And the girls loved everything about being flower girls 💗

The wedding ceremony was beautiful, the food delicious, and it was so fun to see everyone at the reception. We had so much fun we ended up staying much longer than we originally intended. We drove back to Vernal from the reception afterward and despite the late night, it was nice to be back in our own beds again. 

Anderson Family Reunion 2024!

The annual Anderson Family Reunion was a fun success this year! With everyone's schedule, we ended up doing it a little later in the year, so it so it took place the weekend of Oliver's birthday instead of Rylee's. 

The first day, we met at Lindi's house for grilled chicken and a yummy dinner while the kids all played outside. The weather was great and the food was delicious! We wore Oliver out! I was changing him into pajamas and a clean diaper when he just fell asleep on the floor 😂

Saturday morning, we met for pickleball. It was a lot of fun to play and the kids had fun playing at the adjacent park as well! 

Then to Grandma's house for a hot dog roast over the fire. The kids love hot dogs and fires and we all had a great time visiting and watching the kids play.

At one point, Ben climbed the tree. Oliver was worried and told him to get out while Kolson tried to join him 😂 

We ended up staying late while the kids sat around the fire with Grandma and Grandpa, sharing stories. 

On Sunday, we did family pictures and Monday we did a water party at Grandma's house in the afternoon for the kids. We ended the reunion with Oliver's birthday party at our house. 

It was a fun-filled weekend and we all enjoyed spending time together.
