I can't believe Ashtyn is five already! She is growing up to be such a caring, loving friend to all she meets. She also spends a lot of time on creative pursuits and already has passions. We love Ashtyn!

Favorite food: Hamburgers, ham sandwiches, meatloaf, Panda cereal, purple cabbage, chicken legs especially from a whole chicken, and Mentos.

Favorite toys/games: Puzzles (she can do 100 piece puzzles by herself, but loves when I help her), Candyland, building with blocks, Untitled Goosegame, Pokemon Let's Go with Dad, make believe with Parker (usually from movies like Tangled or Aladdin), and "organizing" her shells.
Favorite things to say:

Favorite things to do: Crafts (She is constantly drawing, cutting, and gluing), "tracing" books, making cards for people, riding her balance bike fast (on our walks or all the way to the park), picking flowers, "planting" seeds from fruit we eat, braiding hair
Favorite People: Claire and Elizabeth (cousins), Ashley from across the street, Chris (still her favorite friend, and now potentially Ashley since he's getting married), her primary teachers, Grandma Dee, and Dalin (or Trouble)
Learned this year: Ashtyn started learning to read this year. She started off with some sight words that she memorized. Then she moved to beginner books and now she can read books like Mercy Watson or Dr. Seuss on her own (if I'm patient enough). She also learned how to braid hair and is so excited about that, and learned how to balance on her balance bike so she can go fast.
Favorite books: Piggie and Elephant, Eloise books (beginner readers), Mercy Watson, any of Grandma Dee's books, Honey Honey Lion. She has started being not as interested in the books that we read to Rylee and liking books with more of a story to them. She really enjoys when I read books like Matilda or The Tale of Despereaux.
Favorite shows: Spirit (the movie and the Netflix TV show), Sofia the First (mostly because Parker likes it so much), The Magic School Bus, Scooby Doo, and movie of the book we read aloud together.
