Anderson Family Reunion 2022

In the last couple of years, some of Ben's siblings have moved to different states. It's been a transition for us, and we've sure missed having them around. This year, Ben's mom Lindi planned the first Anderson family reunion, and it was very fun! We had so many pictures from it, I felt I should do a separate blog post for it (since this blog is 90% family journal now).

The first day, we all met at Lindi's house in the afternoon for a water party. Grandma Leah came and Ben's aunt Carrie also stopped by.

They were warming up on the slip and slide before we turned the water on 😀

Jonathan is a chunker!

Grandpa Danny had thinned the carrots earlier and the kids were in heaven.

We can't get over baby Kolson's cuteness!

Lindi rented a small water slide for the kids, and they had a blast on it together.

Dalin found a bunch of mushrooms out in the trees and the kids were all very interested.

It was a busy day! Both Grandpa and Rylee needed a little rest in the afternoon.
It was actually a good thing Rylee slept (she doesn't normally nap anymore) because were up late the next couple of nights.

They used our kiddie pools in the bigger kiddie pool to make boats 😂

Matching swimming suits!
Elizabeth bought this swimsuit for Ashtyn so that they could match 💗

Grandpa loves taking the babies for 4-wheeler rides!
Kolson and Oliver with their Dads 💗

Rylee getting some baby snuggles 💗

After water, we made a fire and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows.

We got to watch Kolson during some photoshoots that Jessica had.

The next day, we went up on the mountain. I made ... a lot of cookies.
I have realized that baking too many treats is my coping mechanism for having to wait for something 😂

Mushroom hunting with Uncle Dalin!

They were so excited to go fishing on Grandpa's boat!

We didn't catch anything, but the kids each got a chance to "drive" the boat and they loved when Grandpa drove fast.

Fishing isn't really my thing, but I really love boat rides.

They were finding heart rocks.
After the mountain, we got pizza and hung out at Grandma Lindi's some more. It was a lot of fun to hang out with everyone and stay up late, even though we were all exhausted. We also got to see Uncle Caleb! And I finally got to make him wings (he came over after we put the kids down to watch a show and talk).

On Sunday, we went up to Danny's family's cabin and took a big family picture for Lindi. Grandpa and Dad and Uncle Dalin helped Ashtyn catch a lizard and she was really excited.
That night, we did a girl's movie night to watch a Hallmark romance movie.

The rest of the week, we got to hang out with cousins. We did Ashtyn's baptism pictures, saw cousins almost every day, did a D&D one shot with Hannah, had Rylee's Encanto birthday party, and got our family pictures while Jessica and Donovan were here.

Grandpa did cement on the porch, so then the kids were doing "mud cement" with Grandpa's cement tools.

Lindi wanted each of the grandkids to put their hand or foot print in the new cement porch they did. It turned out really cute!

And we got these boys together! Kolson is 4 months, Jonathan is 8 months, Oliver is 11 months, and Rhen is a year old. 💗

I am so blessed to have these women in my life! It is so fun to be in similar mothering phases.

It was such a great family reunion. It was so fun to see everyone.
