Our Christmas Countdown 2022

 November 25: Decorate for Christmas



 

November 26: Kids make gifts for extended family

Bonus: Draw names to do secret acts of service for (for each act of service, the person puts a straw in the manger)






November 27: Decorate the Christmas tree! 




November 28: Nativity activity (this year we made mini books and little puppets)





November 29: Make decorations for the kids' tree upstairs  











November 30: Make paper countdown chains 





December 1: Write letters to Santa  



December 2: Polar Express Party (with hot chocolate and pajamas)

December 3: Make ornaments as a family 




December 4: Make gingerbread houses! 












December 5: Drop off a gift basket with an envelope of money to a family in need  


December 6: Christmas Around the World 

This year, we had some videos and worksheets, but the kids didn't love it. Next year, we're going to try something different. 

December 7: Candy Cane Hunt 








December 8:  Make Gingerbread cookies







December 9: Make paper snowflakes (and play in both real and fake snow this year) 




















December 10: Ashtyn and Parker's Christmas concert! 






December 11: Birthday Party for Jesus  




December 12: Make Christmas cards  



December 13: Make cards for the Beehive Home Care Center  




December 14: Visit Santa! 








December 15: Make Christmas cookies for neighbors 



The kids had to find some ways to entertain themselves when they lost interest.



December 16: Look at Christmas Lights  






December 17: Make sibling gifts  




December 18: Go caroling (we went to the Beehive Home this year) 




December 19: Jingle Bells magnet activity  







December 20: Gingerbread man playdoh 








December 21: Ward Christmas Party  













December 22: Gum Drop engineering with toothpicks

December 24: Christmas Eve traditions 


I love doing this tradition with my kids. We all have so much fun enjoying the season and anticipating Christmas together!
