A Week of Family!

We had so much fun this last week with family, and we're sad to see it end. We love our family!

My mom was able to come visit during her fall break, which we always love. Ashtyn was especially excited, because she was coming out on her birthday. Ashtyn kept telling me it was her "best birthday ever, because Grandma Dee is coming ON my birthday!"

We had a lot of fun with her. The girls got to go to the park one morning with her, and lots of walks (which was Rylee's favorite!). She brought sticker paint by number books (Ashtyn's favorite), painting with water books, Kelly Barbie dolls (that the girls got to take in the tub, which they thought was the greatest thing ever), and a bag of her children's books (that's Parker's favorite).

She also brought lots of yummy food (Parker LOVES her cookies!) and even made mummy hot dogs for the girls for Halloween.

We loved spending time with her and were so sad to see her go! We can't wait until we can see her again.

On Ashtyn's birthday, we were also surprised with Melissa and her family coming out from North Dakota! Ashtyn loved it. She kept telling me her birthday turned out better than she even thought it would. It was really fun to have them their for the party too.

They stayed for a week and we tried to get the kids together often to take advantage. On Monday, they came over during the day and did our pumpkin craft with us (and brought donuts). On Tuesday, Ben's grandma had everyone go up to her cabin and roast hot dogs. We all went up and did a little hike with all the kids, and they had a blast together.

On Wednesday, we were surprised again by Jessica and Donovan coming out from Texas, and had a spur of the moment family party at our house, with them and Melissa and her kids, and Ben's cousins. We made waffles and just hung out, which was nice.

On Thursday morning, my mom left, and we were sad to see her go! That afternoon and evening, we helped Melissa pack up all their stuff in a big moving truck while the kids played. On Friday, we went over to Ben's parents' house for a birthday party for Hannah, and then after putting the kids down, we did a girls night while the boys played Super Smash Brothers. For our girls' night, we watched a Christmas Hallmark movie, which we had SO much fun with.

We were sad to see everyone go and we can't wait until everyone visits again!
