Favorite things to do: Play with friends, fish with Grandpa, go on bike rides, play video games with Ben, make video games with Ben, be read to, make crafts, make lists and calendars, race bikes with anyone in the neighborhood on the new road, do her art lessons, go to her piano lesson (practicing is a whole different story), do science experiments or homeschool activities, go to the park, break rocks with Chris, rake leaves into giant piles, do math worksheets, do her own hair, play make believe games with her sisters, build (with blocks and perler beads mostly), origami with napkins with Ashley

Favorite People: Chris and Ashley (Ben's cousin and his wife), Elsee (a neighbor friend), Neomi (another neighbor), Elizabeth, Grandma and Grandpa (both sides), and Dad

Learned this year: She's been having a lot of fun with school this year. She's still learning to read and just started reading level 2 books to me. She also started piano lessons and really enjoys that. She does art lessons off YouTube each school day (she started with some basics, like lines, and now she finds a different thing to draw each day). She started making video games with Ben, who uses an online program for kids; she loves it and even saved up for a Gameboy that she can put her own games on. She started learning different math patterns (like addition with hundreds) and has wanted me to find her math worksheets. She loves to learn new things and is constantly finding new things to be interested in. Another thing she's learned a lot this year is how to get along with other people. She's been playing with friends a lot more this year than any previous year, and it's come with some drama and tears, though she mostly loves it. I know it's good for her to learn these things, though it's hard for me when she's sad about being left out.

Favorite books: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, The Fat Cat Sat on the Mat (and any book that she can read herself), We're in the Wrong Book (and other sillier books like that)

Favorite shows: Kim Possible, Pokémon, Fancy Nancy, Spirit Riding Free, Scooby Doo, Barbie

Favorite Movies: How to Train Your Dragon, Matilda, Tinkerbell "and the humans", Spirit, Scooby Doo movies

We love our Ashtyn and I love watching her learn and grow!
