Our Family Memories in August

I am really behind on my family journaling here, but I wanted to make sure and get caught up, so here are our family memories from August. It was a long, busy, and super fun month!

Summer is a time for ice cream and popsicles!

The girls all took a tumbling class during the summer. Rylee was in a younger class with her cousin Navy and Parker and Ashtyn got to be in the same class. At the end, they had a little performance for the parents at the beginning of August. They all learned a lot and had a lot of fun with it.

Ashtyn worked really hard to get this down.

After she got this backbend down, Ashtyn would play this game with all the kids.

We also played a lot of pickleball at the new courts in Vernal. You can see Oliver sitting with Ben in this picture 😂

Grandma Dee came to visit before school started again and we loved it!

My heart!

"Oh brother!"

While at Walmart with Oliver, I slammed my hand in the door of our car. It hurt pretty bad and was all swollen up for awhile, but it actually healed very quickly.

Getting ice cream cones!

Oliver loves all things that move!

Cousins came out for the Anderson family reunion and stayed with us for about 10 days.
We loved getting to spend so much time with them!

While they were here, we woke up to a baby bat in our door one morning.
We were pretty careful to keep the kids away from it, though they were so excited.
That night, we turned our porch light off and in the morning, it was gone.

Oliver loves his cousin Thomas!

And his sister Ashtyn!

He made his own bed in the girls' room 😂

Playing video games with Dad 💗

Ashtyn made this at the library and wanted a picture.

I don't remember why, but we had the girls go in the backyard. Ashtyn took her book to read and pretty soon, all her siblings had gotten a book to "read" too.

Oliver loves his tricycle!

I love seeing how much Ashtyn loves to read.

In the middle of the month, Oliver got a little fever.
I hate seeing kids sick, but I always love the extra snuggles.

The kids used their bodies to spell out CTR and wanted pictures of it.

Rylee's favorite chore right now is cleaning out the fridge. She was singing a song about it and I only got part of it on camera. I love hearing Rylee sing.

She wanted her smoothie, but she was also cold 😂

Finding snakes on our walks!

At the end of August, we started school again (our break was cousins coming to visit!).
I decided to do first day of school pictures, and Oliver wanted one too.

We also squeezed in a trip to West Jordan and the reunion for Ben's family. It was a busy month full of seeing family and just enjoying the end of summer and it was wonderful!
